BNSFL moves transformer from Texas to Montana

PRESS RELEASE – The team from the BNSFL Project Center in Houston handled the transport of a heavy transformer with a weight 113,4 tonnes arriving from China at the Port of Houston to Colstrip, Montana.

For the rail transport, the centre of gravity of the cargo had to be offset by 68,58 cm with 15 tonnes of counterweights.

The transformer was transported by rail from Houston to a rail-siding in Forsyth, Montana, trans-loaded and trucked to the job site with the rough setting onto the foundation ending this project movement.

BNSF Logistics (BNSFL) is the US-member for the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC).
